You can install AIRSOURCE Pro on the DIADvisor system or any network-connected computer with a modem. Once you've installed AIRSOURCE Pro, a wizard will walk you through the steps necessary to define your wireless communication carrier and to create your database of subscribers or contacts.
a) Contacts: Names, pager numbers, and PINs for each subscriber.
b) Carrier: Name, phone number, type of service (numeric or alpha), baud rate, and maximum characters supported. Enter the subscriber information that DIADvisor alarms will address.
c) Connections: If your paging service is not in the list, enter a new list item with Add and set it up according to your paging service specifications.
a) File Type: The file type will typically be TYPE 2.
b) Processing: Directory to monitor and the extension of the text file. The text files created by DIADvisor will have a file extension of .amp.
c) Clean Up: This is where you specify whether you want files that have activated paging to be deleted, renamed or moved to a new location.
a) On the Setup menu, click Sites and Sensors and then select the Sensor ID for the sensor associated with the alarm.
b) Click the Alarms tab.
c) In the Subscriber box, specify the AIRSOURCE subscriber name(s) to be paged. Separate multiple subscriber names with a semicolon (";") and no spaces.
d) In the Message box, you may optionally specify an alarm-specific message to be sent as a text page.
e) Select the Alarm Enabled and Notification Enabled boxes. (Alarm Enabled must be selected for notification to be enabled.)
f) Click Save to save the alarm definition.
If text paging is not supported by your paging setup, do not define messages for your alarms.
If alarms or notification are turned off at any level, the affected alarms and pages will not be triggered. Other pages will still be launched when triggered unless alarms or notification are turned off at the top level.
