Installation FAQs

When should I choose new installation?
Only if you have never had DIADvisor installed on your machine.
When should I choose upgrade?
You should choose the appropriate upgrade option only if you have previously had a version of DIADvisor installed on your machine.
"Error extracting support files: The directory name is invalid." Why does upgrading from 2.50 to 2.51 on Win NT produce this message?
On Windows NT you MUST be logged on as the Administrator or have Administrator privileges to successfully install or upgrade DIADvisor.
Why can't I register?
Check your DIADvisor CD case for the information you need to fill out the registration window. The fields on the registration screen are not case sensitive but the spelling and punctuation of your customer name must be entered EXACTLY as it appears on your CD label and your 5-digit Customer ID number must be entered correctly. You also need to enter the number of LAN Clients being supported (if any) and select the add-on options you've purchased.
